In 2015 the sister cities Tübingen, Germany and Ann Arbor, MI, USA celabrated 50 years of partnership.

Although it is a long distance between the two cities, the partnership florishes. Carolyn Melchers, who came to Tübingen from Ann Arbor and stayed in Germany after falling in love with her husband and the city presents a series of interviews conducted in Tübingen and Ann Arbor with people who have been involved in the partnership.
